Facebook recently launched its latest Messenger Room feature to make video conferencing. It is basically a group chat feature which is launched by Facebook to compete with popular video conferencing platform like Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet. Facebook launched this feature because the number of users doing video conferencing during log down has increased.

Key Features

This feature allows users to invite up to 50 people to join a video call.
Anyone can join even if they don’t have a Facebook account.
There is no time limit on calls.
Its privacy protections include the ability to control who sees your room and can lock or unlock it.
The room creator has to be present to start the call.
Room Creator can select who can join the room i.e. only Facebook users or anyone.
Room creators can control the joining and removal of the participant at any time.

How To Create Messenger Room

You can create a room from desktop and from mobile both. We are creating a room in the messenger app. To create a chat room, follow steps given below-

Step 1. Download Messenger app.

Step 2. Open Messenger and Tap on People option at the bottom right corner then Tap on Create A Room option.

Step 3. After that room will be created then Tap on Share Link to share the link.

Step 4. Now select your option to share link and send the link to the people.

To join a messenger room, follow given steps below

Step 1. To join a messenger room you need an invitation link.

Step 2. If you are a messenger user, then in a single click you can join the room.
